The “Masters & Legends Surfing Competition” for The San Diego Senior Olympic Games will be held on Sunday, October 9 at The Pier in Oceanside. The event is open to any man or woman 50 or over. There will be three categories of competition: longboard, shortboard and stand up. Medals will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners in various age brackets. Registration fee is $25.00 plus $15.00 for each event one enters in to. Linda Benson, surfing legend, is the Honorary Commissioner and will preside over the day’s activities. In attendance will be representatives of all of the leading manufacturers in the surfing industry and there will be more than $5,000 in opportunity drawings.
